These books were published beginning
in 1948 for a run of 46 titles. Novel Library was probably the first true
"Sleaze" label printed solely in mass market format.
It was a division of Diversey Books,
which was in turn produced by Avon. Like Eton, they look an awful lot like
Avon's books. Many of the writers Avon relied on for big sales were
represented, including Jack Woodford, James Hadley Chase, and Maxwell Bodenheim.
